useful information
Fiji is located in the South Pacific and is known for its white beaches and islands that look like postcards. And that without a filter!
The Republic of Fiji consists of more than 300 islands, of which only 110 are inhabited. Some of these islands, such as Kuata Island, inhabited only by hotel staff and tourists. Larger islands, e.g. Nacula Island, are also inhabited by locals.
The Fijians
Fijians are the friendliest, most helpful and nicest people I met on my travels. At the airport, every incoming machine is already greeted with song and music, followed by Bula calls.
Bula means life and is used in a variety of situations and means:
- Hello
- I wish you happiness and health
- bless you when you sneeze
In return, one returns “Bula vinaka”
In many countries people are nice just because they want to sell things to you. That´s not the fact in Fiji. Here people are always nice and expect nothing more than respect and happiness from everyone else.
Best travel time
The best time to visit Fiji is from May to October as it rains less. In general, the temperatures vary between 23 ° and 27 °.
